The linear axes of the GKS series impress with their compact design and the integration of a ball screw drive and recirculating ball bearing guides. This combination ensures precise and reliable linear motion while simultaneously absorbing high rolling torques. The preloaded recirculating ball screw ensures backlash-free positioning and enables low-friction movements at high speeds. Thanks to the robust design, the axes are particularly durable and are ideal for demanding industrial applications that require smooth and stable movement along the axis.
Linear axes are ideal for applications where long travel distances and stable, heavy-duty movement are required, such as in manufacturing or automation. Motorized positioning stages, such as our BX series, on the other hand, are often used in areas that require very precise positioning, such as metrology or micromachining.

The software offers you extensive options for configuring and controlling your stepper motor controller. Parameters can be adjusted, such as pulses per revolution, switching the sensors from high active to low active and configuring the input and output signals. The creation of position tables for stand-alone operation and direct control via the software can be conveniently carried out here.

The sensor set, consisting of two limit switches, an ORG sensor, a sensor rail, and the corresponding angle, provides you with an easy and precisely adjustable solution for your positioning tasks. The sensors used for the GKS axes employ powerful photoelectric NPN switches. These sensors are strategically placed to detect misalignments, excessive wear, or unexpected movements, ensuring that the system operates within the specified parameters.
The protective cover of the GKS axis is designed to prevent crush injuries that could occur from direct contact with the carriage and the spindle. By providing effective coverage, it extends the lifespan of the axis and reduces maintenance costs by minimizing the risk of damage and wear. Additionally, the cover ensures smooth and precise operation of the axis by decreasing the likelihood of malfunctions caused by mechanical influences.
The motor flange is a critical component that ensures a stable and secure connection between the motor and the drive unit. It is designed to allow precise alignment of the motor, which is essential for optimum performance and longevity of the system.
The shaft coupling connects the motor to the drive spindle and transmits torque efficiently while compensating for misalignment and vibration.
The Plug & Play Closed Loop Controller offers a powerful solution for precise drive applications. It can be used both internally and externally, and it impresses with a high resolution of up to 16,000 pulses per revolution (ppr). This high precision allows for accurate movement control without the occurrence of hunting effects, thereby improving operational efficiency and accuracy.
The controller is available for various interfaces, including RS-485/USB, Ethernet, and EtherCAT, enabling flexible integration into existing systems. To support programming, the controller comes with user-friendly Windows software and can also be used with common programming languages such as LabView, C++, Python, and others.
